This is an awesome, at times almost heartbreaking documentary about the Pixies’ reunion tour. The overall tone of loudQuietloud is incredibly personal, a bit voyeuristic at times, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable like I wasn’t supposed to be seeing this (e.g. watching Kim struggle with her drug problems or Dave going through a rough patch with his dad dying, “Charles having a baby” *g*). Still, all of this, even their depressing inability to communicate, is part of who they are, which makes loudQuietloud one of the most touching music documentaries I’ve ever seen. Watch here!
