The Alte Nordfriedhof in the Schwabing neighborhood is a tiny, disused cemetery which opened in 1868. The last burial took place in 1939. After it was destroyed in WWII what was left has been carefully restored since and is now a public park. People go there to take a walk, do sports or sit on the benches and enjoy the calm atmosphere in the midst of this busy urban neighborhood. Here are a few pictures I took last week to give you an impression of this beautiful place.
